Yesterday I hit the big 5-0. And let me tell you, it felt weird as heck.
I spent most of last year feeling like I was trapped in a hamster wheel. Running my “successful” agency felt more like wearing golden handcuffs than living the dream.
You know that feeling when you’re in the wrong lane on the highway? That was me. Stuck in traffic, watching other cars zip by.
I kept telling myself I was too old to start something new. The voice in my head wouldn’t shut up about it. “You’re too old to start over,” it said on repeat.
Then one night, during my prayers, something wild happened. God basically grabbed the spiritual megaphone and said, “Hey dummy, you’re not starting over – you’re just changing lanes!”
Talk about a divine reality check. I nearly fell out of bed!
It hit me like a ton of bricks. Sometimes what feels like starting over is really just a lane change. Same highway, different view.
