Post-holiday guilt…

You know what happens after Christmas? The guilt sets in.

I’m not talking about the “why did I eat that entire pie” kind of guilt. Though, let’s be honest, we’ve all been there. That second slice of pecan pie was definitely worth it.

No, I’m talking about the deeper stuff. The “another year has gone by, and I’m still stuck” kind of guilt. The “I promised myself this would be the year” guilt. The one that hits you right in the gut while you’re putting away those new socks from Aunt Martha.

We make these grand plans every December. “Next year will be different,” we tell ourselves. Then January rolls around, and we’re back to our old routines. Back to that job we swore we’d leave, back to dreaming instead of doing.

But here’s the thing about guilt – it’s actually trying to tell us something important. It’s that little voice saying, “Hey, remember those dreams you packed away with last year’s ornaments?”

And you know what? That voice is right. Those dreams deserve better than being stuffed in a box with tangled Christmas lights.

Sure, starting your own business feels scarier than your uncle’s attempt at karaoke last night. But staying stuck? That’s even scarier.

P.S. Speaking of getting unstuck…Want to make sure this post-Christmas guilt is your last? Come join us. We’ve saved you a spot (and maybe even some leftover cookies).

Here’s to making next December’s reflection a whole lot merrier.
