Hey there, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here because today, we’re diving into something super exciting (as always – ha!)—How to Create Irresistible Holiday Offers That Stand Out.

Now, I don’t know about you, but it feels like this year has flown by, and here we are already gearing up for the holiday season. Black Friday is just a few weeks away, and I know everyone’s mind is already turning toward holiday shopping and how to make the most of this busy season. So, that’s why I wanted to talk about holiday offers today!

So, here’s the deal… the holiday season is the perfect time to get your offers in front of people who are ready to spend. Seriously, they’re in the buying mood, their wallets are open, and they’re looking for something special. So, why not with you?

Speaking of people ready to spend, here’s a fun fact for you: Do you know how Black Friday even started?

It actually goes way back to the 1960s when Philadelphia police used the term “Black Friday” to describe the crazy traffic and crowds that filled the streets the day after Thanksgiving. It wasn’t exactly a compliment at first—it was all about the chaos! But over time, retailers saw an opportunity, and they put their own spin on it. They started using “Black Friday” to signify the day when their sales would go from “in the red” to “in the black,” meaning they’d finally hit profitability for the year.

So, it went from a chaotic day for police to the ultimate shopping day, all because retailers found a way to turn the situation around in their favor. And that’s kind of what we’re doing today—taking a busy holiday season and turning it into an opportunity to make your offers stand out!

Now, here’s something a lot of people don’t realize about Black Friday—it’s not just about those big, flashy discounts on TVs or kitchen gadgets. Retailers use these deals to get you in the door because they know that once you’re there, you’ll likely buy other things at full price.

There’s actually a term for this strategy, and it’s called a “loss leader.” The idea is that stores will offer big-ticket items at a super low price—sometimes, they don’t even make a profit on it (thus the name loss leader)! But once you’re inside and you’ve scored that great deal, they know you’re probably going to grab a few other things, too. And those extra items? That’s where they make their money back.

So, while we’re all out there excited for the big sales, stores are smart—they know how to get us in with those “can’t miss” deals, and they’re ready to make the most of it. And guess what? You can use this same concept to create holiday offers that work just as well fior your business!

Ok, enough about Black Friday, let’s dive into some creative ways you can offer real value, connect with your audience, and boost your holiday sales—without necessarily needing to cut prices across the board!

I have 4 strategies to share, so let’s dive in…

4 Holiday Offer Strategies

Strategy #1 – Tripwire Funnels

These are similar to loss leaders in retail, these are low-cost offers that lead your prospect through a sales funnel that upsells them into additional programs, products, or services.

There’s a good chance you’ve heard of this type of funnel—it’s really common, especially in online business. But for the new entrepreneur, let me share the concept.

A Trust Trigger Funnel, or tripwire funnel, works by offering a small, low-cost product or service—think of it as a ‘taste test’ for your brand. This offer is typically something quick, actionable, and high-value, priced low enough that it feels like a no-brainer for the customer to buy. Once they’ve purchased, they’re led through a funnel, where you offer the next level of value, usually a more comprehensive program or package.

The idea is simple: by starting with a low-cost offer, you’re reducing the initial buying risk for potential clients. They get to experience your expertise without a big commitment, and that builds trust. Then, if they see the value and are ready for more, they’re naturally guided to the next step in your sales process—whether that’s a higher-ticket coaching program, an online course, or a membership.

Think of it as a way to create momentum. You start small, deliver real value, and then build on that trust as they progress through your funnel.

So, let’s say you’re a business coach who offers a high-value coaching program. Your Trust Trigger could start with a low-cost offer, like a $7 mini-training on ‘Mastering Your Morning Routine for Productivity.’ This is a quick, actionable resource that delivers immediate value, helping potential clients get a taste of your coaching style and expertise.

Now, once they purchase this mini-training, they’re automatically directed to an upsell page where you introduce them to your main offer—a more in-depth program on productivity and business planning, or maybe even a monthly membership. By leading them through this Trust Trigger Funnel, you’re not only building trust but also increasing the chances of converting them into a client for your higher-ticket services.

The beauty of a tripwire funnel like this is that it feels like a natural progression for the customer. They get something valuable upfront, and if they’re ready for more, you’re right there with the next step in their journey. It’s an easy way to nurture leads, build trust, and add to your holiday revenue without requiring heavy discounts on your main offers.

Strategy #2 – Exclusive Holiday Bundles

Now let’s talk about creating Exclusive Holiday Bundles. This strategy is perfect if you want to add value for your clients without dropping prices on individual services. Bundling allows you to combine a few of your offerings into one attractive package, creating a higher perceived value for your clients and making it easier for them to say “yes.”

The key here is to pick items or services that naturally complement each other so the bundle feels like a cohesive, high-value experience. Plus, it adds a holiday-exclusive touch to your offers that clients can’t find any other time of year.

Example for a Service-Based Business:

Let’s say you’re a business consultant who offers services like one-on-one strategy sessions, goal-setting workshops, and a digital course on business growth. For the holiday season, you could create an “End-of-Year Growth Bundle” that includes:

  1. One Strategy Session – to map out goals for the new year.
  2. Access to Your Digital Course – covering key growth strategies for the upcoming year.
  3. A Goal-Setting Workshop – a virtual session to get clients motivated and focused on their business vision.

You’d price this bundle lower than if each service were bought separately, creating a compelling offer that feels tailored for the season. Clients get everything they need to set up for success in the new year, while you benefit from the added appeal of a limited-time holiday package.

By offering a bundle like this, you’re giving clients a clear reason to invest right now rather than waiting until the new year, and they’re getting tremendous value—all without you having to discount your main services individually.

Strategy #3 – Limited-Time Bonuses

Next up, let’s look at Limited-Time Bonuses. This strategy is about offering an added bonus during the holiday season that’s only available for a short time. The bonus can be something special that complements your main offer, creating a sense of urgency and exclusivity that encourages clients to act quickly.

The idea here isn’t to discount your services but to add a high-value bonus that makes the holiday purchase feel extra rewarding. Limited-time bonuses are great because they tap into the “fear of missing out” and make your offer feel festive and unique.

Example for a Community-Based (Membership) Business:

Let’s say you run a membership community for wellness coaches, where members have access to monthly training, networking events, and resource libraries. For the holiday season, you could offer a “Holiday Success Bundle” to anyone who joins by the end of the year. The Holiday Success Bundle could include:

  1. An Exclusive Goal-Setting Workshop – A live, members-only session to help new members plan their business and personal goals for the new year, tailored specifically for wellness coaches.
  2. Access to a ‘Holiday Client Attraction Toolkit’ – A bonus resource that provides templates, scripts, and strategies for engaging with clients during the holiday season, so they can see immediate results from their membership.
  3. A One-Time Group Coaching Call – An additional live session where members can ask questions, get feedback, and network, creating a valuable and personalized experience.
  4. Extended Free Trial or Discounted First Month – To sweeten the deal, you might offer a small incentive on membership fees for those who join by a specific date.

By including these limited-time bonuses, you’re not only adding extra value to your membership but also creating a reason for potential members to join right now. The holiday-themed resources and exclusive sessions make the offer feel festive and relevant, while the timing of the bonuses encourages people to act before the season ends.

Strategy #4 – Gift With a Purchase

Another effective holiday strategy is offering a Gift With Purchase. This approach adds a little extra to the main offer, making it feel special and rewarding for the customer. Unlike traditional discounts, the gift is a valuable bonus that complements the purchase, adding to the customer’s experience without reducing the price of your service.

The key to making this strategy work is choosing a gift that’s meaningful and enhances your core offer, rather than something generic. When the gift aligns with what your customers are already looking for, it feels thoughtful and personalized, increasing their excitement about buying from you during the holidays.

Example for a Gym:

Imagine you run a gym, and for the holiday season, you want to encourage new memberships. Instead of offering a discount, you could create a “New Year, New You” package where everyone who signs up for a 6-month membership receives:

  1. A Free 30-Minute Personal Training Session – This bonus session gives new members a personalized start to their fitness journey and helps them feel supported from day one.
  2. Access to a Special Nutrition Workshop – An exclusive, members-only workshop focused on meal planning and nutritional tips, helping members set themselves up for success in the new year.
  3. Customized Fitness Assessment – A one-time fitness assessment that provides new members with a baseline and recommended areas of focus, adding value to their membership.

This “gift with membership” offer makes the purchase feel like an investment in their health, complete with extra tools and resources to maximize their experience. By adding services that align with their fitness goals, you’re making the membership more appealing and encouraging potential clients to get started now, rather than waiting until the new year.

Now one thing I want to point out is, a lot of businesses—especially gyms—tend to give branded merchandise as the gift, like a T-shirt or water bottle with the gym’s logo. But here’s the thing: while branded merchandise is great for brand awareness, it’s usually not something that makes potential clients feel truly excited about signing up. Why? Because branded merch often feels more promotional than personal—it’s typically reserved for brand ambassadors, not brand new clients.

The key to making this strategy truly irresistible is choosing a gift that’s meaningful and enhances the client’s experience, rather than something generic. When the gift aligns with what your customers are already looking for, it feels thoughtful and customized, increasing their excitement about buying from you during the holidays.

So, those are four powerful strategies for creating irresistible holiday offers that stand out: Trust Trigger Funnels, Exclusive Holiday Bundles, Limited-Time Bonuses, and Gift With Purchase. Each one is designed to make your holiday offers feel special, valuable, and meaningful—without always having to rely on heavy discounts.

What Makes An Offer Irresistible

Now that we’ve covered the strategies, let’s talk a little more about what makes an offer irresistible.

Here’s the thing: an irresistible offer goes beyond just a good deal. It’s about connecting with your audience on a deeper level and giving them something they truly want and need. To create an offer that’s hard to pass up, you want to focus on three key elements:

  1. Value – First and foremost, an irresistible offer provides clear, tangible value. It’s something that genuinely helps your customers solve a problem, reach a goal, or enjoy an experience they care about. It’s about offering something that feels worth every penny, making them feel like they’re getting way more than they expected.
  2. Relevance – Next, your offer should speak directly to your audience’s current needs, especially during the holiday season. Think about what your audience is experiencing right now—are they looking for ways to reduce stress, save time, or prepare for the new year? The more relevant your offer is to their situation, the more likely they are to act on it.
  3. Urgency – Finally, an irresistible offer has a sense of urgency. You want your audience to feel motivated to act now rather than later. This doesn’t mean pressuring them; it’s about creating a gentle nudge. Limited-time bonuses, exclusive bundles, or seasonal-only experiences give your audience a reason to act right now because they know they’ll miss out if they wait.

So, as you think about your holiday offers, ask yourself: How can I make my offer feel valuable, relevant, and timely? When you nail these three elements, your holiday offers will feel irresistible in a way that speaks to your audience’s real needs and desires.
