Tomorrow, I turn 49! Where the heck has the time gone? In my mind, I’m still in my 20’s – not sure how that works!?

I’m not one for big birthday bashes, but I thought it’d be fun to share some lessons I’ve picked up during my time on this beautiful planet we call Earth.

🙏 God is good, and His timing is always perfect. It took me a while (okay, a long while) to finally accept that, but now that I have, I have so much more peace and am enjoying the journey.

❤️Being loved and loving others is what matters most in this life.

🙌 Kids are a blessing. But here’s a tip from someone who’s been in the parenting trenches for 32+ years: if you want peace as a parent, let go and let God take over. They’ll figure things out eventually. Our job as parents is to guide them, love them, and then step back and let them lead their own lives.

🤗 Friends make the good times better and the hard times bearable.

💯 Growing old is a privilege. It’s ok to get wrinkles – no one cares but you.

💸 It’s just money. If you’re alive, you can always make more. And if you’re dead, they can cash in on the life insurance policy and sell the house.

So, as I step into my 49th year, I hope these little bits of wisdom I’ve gathered along the way might light up someone else’s path. Life’s a journey, and we’re all figuring it out as we go.

As for birthday plans? The hubby and I are heading to Cafe Monarch in Scottsdale for a fancy dinner the kids treated us to. Can’t wait to celebrate another year of this beautiful, chaotic, wonderful life. Cheers to learning, living, and loving every step of the way.
